In 2008, T.E.M Band's "Wine Pon U" was used in Toronto Lime's Carnival 360 - St.Lucia Day 5 (Carnival Tuesday) video. The band is back in 2010, with a video and all ... "Bang it Up."

Aaron Fresh - Trinidadian Recording Artist
When the singer, Aaron Fresh, got interviewed by Rocsi and Terrence, his cute lil' accent was coming through. I was hoping he would reveal his Caribbean connection, and then, he shouts out to the people of Trinidad and Tobago. So yes, this is for my Trini people. Umm, I should be adopted by you all by now. LOL!
Aaron Fresh had a nomadic childhood. He was born in Chicago, raised in Trinidad, then moved to San Francisco at age 14. He is signed to Ncredible, and dually to Island Def Jam, and his debut album is set to be released in summer 2010.

Drake's New Video : Bad for Jamaica?
Drake's new video "Find Your Love" with Mavado, has prompted Jamaican Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett to warn local acts to be careful about the way they portray Jamaica. Edmund Bartlett claims that the video is a bad look for Jamaica and that artist such as Mavado should be mindful of what videos they choose. He goes on to say, artist can’t involve themselves in videos that portray the country in a negative light.
The video, which was shot in April in sections of Kingston and St Andrew, stars Drake as a foreigner who falls in love with a woman who is romantically linked with a ‘gangster’ called Puffy, played by Mavado.

Vybz Kartel on BBC Caribbean - Talking about the St.Lucian Gov't's Decision to Ban Him
Vybz Kartel, "I only reflect society."
The Jamaican dance hall artiste Vybz Kartel has told BBC Caribbean that his controversial lyrics only reflect the harsh realities of society.
Speaking in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, noted that he was unaware that regional leaders had so much idle time on their hands to consider banning an act from performing in their countries based on his lyrics.
His comments come in wake of the recent decision by the government of St Lucia to deny him a work permit, which, had it been granted, would have seen the deejay taking the stage at two concerts this past weekend.
“I’m not in anyway trying to overthrow the government, nor am I preaching violence against anyone of any group, so I can’t understand them,” Kartel said in an interview aired on the popular BBC Caribbean Report. LISTEN HERE
