I figured, time to share here. Trinidadian, Kees Dieffenthaller, lead singer from Kes The Band, and the songstress from Jamaica, Tessanne Chin have collaborated on a track they both wrote together, along with KC Phillips, titled Loving You.

Kelis returns summer 2010 with her forthcoming album, "Flesh Tone." Her first single “Acapella,” is already topping the Billboard dance chart, the singer now has a video to accompany her new David Guetta-produced single.

This time around Kelis seems to be moving in a more euro-dance direction. When I first heard, "Acapella," months ago, I was reminded of Donna Summer's disco hit,"I FEEL LOVE." Ahhh, Studio 54 - Disco music REVAMPED for 2010!

Kelis' "Acapella" video is captivating. ... And visually, I fast forward to the expectations of Trinidad Carnival 2011, despite BOTH carnival bands, TRIBE and SPICE changing their themes since Saucy's (Trinidad Carnival Diary) blog announcement of "Warriors" for 2011 by TRIBE and "Amazoni Savage" for 2011 by Spice. Yes, if "THEME 2011" comes to be, then I agree with Saucy, "less bling and more organic materials."

Erykah Badu - Window Seat

Finally, I watched Erykah Badu's new video, "Window Seat," because of all the hype ... LOVED IT! It was so refreshing! It takes guts and a serious amount of 'letting go,' to just shed and reveal yourself.

In the video, Badu visits Dallas' Dealey Plaza, the site of President John F. Kennedy's assassination.

Inspired by Matt & Kim's "Lessons Learned" video where the group undresses in Times Square, Badu disrobes as she walks down a busy street midday. The passersby aren't video extras, but real life unassuming pedestrians who mainly ignore her, save for a man who picks up some of her clothes, and a woman who stares at her while holding the hand of a toddler boy.

By the time Badu reaches the infamous grassy knoll where Kennedy was killed, she is completely nude. A gunshot is heard, her head cocks back, and her limp body falls to the ground. The words "group think" bleed from her head in blue ink.

"Group think that's like a form of thinking that causes you to bury what you really feel inside to please the group so you won't be ostracized by the group," Badu told the Wall Street Journal. "It's a comfort zone that we create for ourselves, and I go outside of that comfort zone."

As Badu's body lies on the ground, she speaks in a narrative voice to explain the message. "They play it safe. Are quick to assassinate what they do not understand," Badu says in the voiceover. "This is what we have become. Afraid to respect the individual." - Yahoo.com

So this morning I felt like hearing some British pop, and decided on N-Dubz. I liked their 2008 song "Ouch." Anyway so I posted their video "Playing with Fire" featuring Mr.Hudson on my Facebook page. Yes, the same Mr. Hudson on Jay'Z's remake of Alphaville's 1984 hit single,"Forever Young." In 2009, Alphaville's song was "Young Forever" from Jay-Z.

So I'm watching the video and BOOM, it's St.Lucian model, Daniel Louisy sprawled on a bed!

I am in Guatemala, for a few days, currently in the hotel room recovering from a fun night, had last night with my Miami college TRINI friends. So I am watching a music channel, EXA TV here. It has become habit to watch any music channel in every country that I visit. I enjoyed a music channel in Sydney, Australia, it has to be one of my favorites. Oh, and of course, SYNERGY TV in Trinidad. Thanks to the enjoyment of watching Jason, now best known for his "PALANCING" fame!

So back to watching videos in Guatemala, not sure if you have seen this video but Shakira's "Did It Again (Lo Echo Esta Hecho)" video is hot. Talk about a workout in bed!

Livvi Franc - Another Barbadian Singer

Ohhh, my greatest inspiration and awareness has been coming from my many friends on Facebook. Who knew Livvi Franc was a Barbadian - Brit (from Barbados and Britain)? Certainly, I did not!

When IMEEM was the music player that I used on this blog before MySpace bought it over and screwed it over, not too long ago, I featured Livvi's debut single, "Now I'm That Bitch" released in the summer of 2009. The song reached to the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club songs charts. Another of my anthems of sorts and those who know, I love dance music! I often say, "I see God in the music!"

Oh gosh, and it does not help that Mr. 305 (Miami area code), Pitbull is in this remix. My FB friends know I love Pitbull ... he's my Mr. Grimey. Umm, he makes me want to get GRIMEY (a morally reprehensible deed, according to the UrbanDictionary)! .... I could just hear him now, "Oye, mami, calmate!"

"UH GOSH" according to the song, PARTY HARD from Trinidad Carnival 2010 which is at the center of an unofficial remix drama. In the video below, St.Vincent's, Problem Child who remixed Donaeo's "Party Hard" responds to Donaeo's interview. On February 24, I posted the Party Hard Remix featuring Problem Child and the official video by Donaeo.

Nice of Problem Child to apologize but thanks to him a lot more of us know about Donaeo! Problem Child has made "Party Hard" an ANTHEM for still very sexy ladies (if I am to compare us to the ladies in Donaeo's official "PARTY HARD" video), carnival lovers and a real' party hard - Caribbean crowd who have now taken his song internationally!

Kiss, make up, shake hands ... whatever it is you both need to do,

'cause I am so ready to see the Caribbean video version for this remix!
