Good Ole' - Baking Soda

If you're a sucker for tips from makeup artists, then here's a tip for you. I saw Hayley Marie, one of the Deal or No Deal models have a hard time parting with this secret she got from her makeup artist. Anyway it's none other than Arm & Hammer Baking Soda.

I'm such a sucker ... so I've been using this new baking soda secret as my daily facial regimen and happily doing so.

Here's information from Arm & Hammer Facial Scrub and Body Exfoliant:
Are you a fan of the self-tan? Before applying products that give you a ‘glow’, give yourself an invigorating, yet gentle, facial and body scrub with ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda. Removing dead skin cells will leave your skin soft and smooth, perfect before application. Make a paste of 3 parts ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda to 1 part water. Rub in a gentle circular motion to exfoliate the skin. Rinse clean. Gentle enough for daily use!

*Mix a similar paste for mosquito bites. It stops the itchy sensation and redness. Safe to use on babies too. We used this paste when those St.Lucian mosquitos would chew up my daughter!

Greatest advantage: CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!

  1. What a great idea!

I once made a facial peel from some combination of egg whites, gelatin, maybe milk?? Man, but I wish I'd written it down - I've tried countless times to recreate it without success. That stuff was cheap and put the Biore strips to absolute shame! It would clean your pores, I'm tellin ya!!

  2. From the time I discovered I was pregnant with my daughter, I yearned for natural products for my skin and hair. So when I heard this lil' trick of the trade, I jumped on the band wagon. No complaints, cause this simple solution does work!
