Red Square & Taj Weekes & Adowa

My favorite bar in Burlington, in all of Vermont, simply in all of the world (and I've been to quite a few bars! LOL!) welcomes a St.Lucian to its stage on Saturday. Every time my friends visit my state, Vermont which I like to describe as a cross between "Little House on a Prairie" meets "The Andy Griffith Show", I tell them "Have no fear, we're going to Red Square!" ... And of course Red Square gets them hooked every time! LOL!

You don't want to know about the hours I have spent at this bar, drinking and meeting random strangers, simply making new friends. Here is an introduction from the bar from its very own website,

Red Square is not the average vanilla Burlington bar. In its six years of operation, the bar has caused commotion, chaos, broken marriages . . . frightened clowns. You might just have to come down and visit yourself. . .

Live music, no TV, good times, crazy people, even crazier staff, cozy nooks & crannies, a night to remember (or at least TRY to remember). Come in your speedo or tuxedo ~ everyone is welcome. There are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t met yet.

Live entertainment in the heart of Burlington, 7 days a week.

These people have checked out Red Square:
Harrison Ford
Jim Carey
Rob Schneider
Renee Zellewegger
Farrelly Brothers
Woody Harrelson
Mega Banton
Delly Ranks
While you were out crew
Rene Kirby
and thousands of ordinary superstars like you...

Red Square ~ Music, Love, Spirits and Happiness!

"...But who cares which stars have been to Red Square
when they have my visiting friends and I. LOL!"

Taj Weekes & Adowa

Taj Weekes & Adowa
Saturday, September 27,
Red Square, Burlington Vermont

Conscious High
Reggae music has long been a conduit for spiritual and higher conscious themed lyricism. While many artists’ ruminations border on hackneyed, lightweight mysticism, NYC’s Taj Weekes rises above the fray to offer substantial and thought-provoking observations on songwriting’s equivalent of the three needs: life, love and politics. Backed by his impeccable band Adowa, the St. Lucia native is among underground reggae’s fastest rising stars and lands at Red Square this Saturday.

So you know who will be at Red Square this Saturday.  LOL!
