Castries Harbor Riddim Comes to Trinidad Carnival 2012

Introducing a new soca riddim for 2012, named after a historic city & harbor - located on the island of St Lucia. Castries was founded by the French in 1650 as "Carenage" (meaning safe anchorage), then renamed in 1756 after Charles Eugène Gabriel de La Croix, marquis de Castries, commander of a French expeditionary force to Corsica that year. Port Castries was awarded the 2012 Porthole Editor-In-Chief Award for “Best Caribbean Port” from Porthole Cruise Magazine.

This exciting riddim features various artistes and was launched in Trinidad for Carnival 2012, opening with the talents of Trevlyn & Shurwayne Winchester collaborating to create the monster track 'MASH UP EVERYTHING'. The tracked is produced by Slaughter Arts Media : Patrice Regis & Nigel Nicholas.

"It's great to have another single from Shurwayne on our riddims again, we were the first on the island of St Lucia to work with him - about 6yrs ago on the Soca BlueTooth riddim with the track Hardworker with Mr. Slaughter, and a blessing to work with Trevlyn, whom we met through Pun" said Co-Producer Nigel Nicholas.

"I love the flavor they brought to the riddim, and really looking forward to work with them again, shout outs to Mr Vybz" said Producer Patrice Regis.
