Welcome to my island, Saint Lucia during Christmas 2012, into the early New Year 2013. And not only do I share pictures but I also share some of the quotes that I enjoyed during that time!
The story of a cruise ship at sunset ...
And I enjoyed everything St.Lucian!
Ferrands Ice Cream. My brother and I did a newspaper advertisement for their once popular CHOKO CHOKO product when we were little.
L - R:
Tamarind Balls, Roasted Nuts
ICY Soft Drink, St.Lucia Distillers - Bounty Rum, etc
2 St.Lucian Christmas staples: Black Pudding & Sorrel
Always love an impromptu get together and my mom's impromptu spread!
There were 2 birthday parties that I enjoyed over Christmas, West Indies Cricket Captain from St.Lucia, Darren Sammy and my son. Both birthday boys are seen below. I loved this idea, wrapped presents decorated every table at Darren's party. For my son, I ordered these mini Coco Passion cupcakes which is coconut cake with a passion fruit curd filling with a coconut buttercream.
♥ Fake eyelashes and glitter nails ♥
While at home, I was affected by The Newtown School Shooting reminded that my daughter is 6 years old and it could have been her elementary school. The following quotes from the Dalai Lama rang true.
I said a prayer for the families and live on ...
POOR SANTA ... even he gets into trouble! LOL!
One of my favorite gifts
I love creativity ... and found this box which I painted for my mom in my teens!
Even my kids get creative with outdoor chalk
So rather than go to the hair salon on the last day of 2012, I was splish-splashin' with my kids
I took a picture with my son and remembered this one I took with my daughter in Vermont, 2008.
New Year's morning ... the aftermath with my family!
Finally I got a trim and colored my hair before heading back home to Virginia
so when it was time to sit back and review my holiday pictures ...
I noticed this guy flying through the air with socks on from Old Year's night!
which reminded me of my 2013 TO DO LIST
... came from the New Year release of the video below
Avicii vs Nicky Romero - I Could Be The One
Probably one of my favorite videos, also filmed in Barbados
PS. It's mandatory that you watch this video to the very end! LOL.
