Last night, 60 Minutes profiled Sal Khan of The Khan Academy whose mission is to provide a world-class education to anyone, anywhere with his educational on-line Youtube videos, wanting to share the content with whoever may find it useful.
“Innovation never comes from the established institutions,” Google head Eric Schmidt told Sanjay Gupta. “It's always a graduate student or a crazy person or somebody with a great vision. Sal is that person in education in my view.” Schmidt explains more about his support for Khan’s work.
