E-Planning Your Wedding Guide

I never had a wedding (and that was my choice) so it's taken me a long time to get to this point where I'm comfortable looking at anything to do with weddings. ... And though I've been enjoyin' VH1's La La's Full Court Wedding,  it took this real wedding album of Chelsea and Dan to make me say ... now that's a beautiful wedding. The couple planned a wedding weekend in August ... that only cost $11,000! Chelsea and Dan married themselves—as in, there was no officiant, which you can do in Wyoming—during a four-day celebration on a 100-person campsite.

I laugh cause my wedding cost me a couple of drinks at Cafe Iguana's, in Coconut Grove, Miami. I wore a white top and denim jeans and danced my night away.  Almost 10 years later, if I had to do it all over again and I tell friends, make certain to include the following 3 elements; 1. That Special Dress, 2. A Loved One to Give Them Away, 3. A Professional Photographer!

I'm all for the non-traditional ... I have been to a wedding where the bride walked down the aisle of their house to "Ave Maria" ... which reminds me I always wanted to walk down the aisle to steel pan, and up to 2 nights ago my friends mentioned wanting tassa drums.

My mom has also pointed out that so many people put so much emphasis on the wedding, and forget about the marriage.  I say keep it simple and be practical. Spend that money on a down payment on a house. You get me!
