  1. they're nice. i'll do sum of them.

however i see its sad now that the elderly mas players are being handed limited choices since costumes are getting skimpier and skimpier.

  2. THE PORTRAYAL REALLY ISN'T ALL THAT BAD BUT JUST CAUSE WE'VE BEEN OFFERED SO MANY AFRICA PORTRAYALS SO MANY TIMES IN CARNIVALS ALL OVER THE WORLD EVERY YR TO ME IT'S LIKE THIS OFFERING REALLY DOESN'T WOW ME. I'VE SEEN TOO MANY AFRICA PORTRAYALS TO NOT COMPARE & SEEN THEM DONE BETTER TO BE WOWED BY THIS OFFERING ALBEIT AN OK ATTEMPT. I GET DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM AFRICA BUT ENOUGH ALREADY & IF YOU'RE GONNA DO IT YOU BETTER BLOW IT OUT THE PARK TO MAKE ME FORGET ALL THE OTHERS THAT I'VE SEEN. THAT BEING SAID, MASKS OF AFRICA, MOMBASA CARNIVAL & ZULU GET TOP MARKS IN THIS AFRICA INTERPRETATION. THE COLORS, LOOK & DESIGN OF THESE 3 ARE MOST APPEALING TO ME. BLACK & WHITE COSTUMES ARE USUALLY FAVORITES OF MINE BUT THIS ZEBRA SECTION IS NOT DOING IT FOR ME, THE PRINT IS WAY TOO BUSY.
ALL IN ALL I THINK THIS'S A GOOD OFFERING & I'D LIKE IT MORE WERE IT NOT FOR THE FACT THAT I'VE SEEN THE SAME THEME DONE WAY TOO MANY TIMES & BETTER.

  3. Nicky I doubt very much they would appreciate you calling them elderly... And because they are elderly dont mean they want to be covered like nuns

Africa is over done I agree, clearly show by the fact that three bands are playing this theme this year. With that said .... bands are expected to reuse themes for the fact that we will not always have a. a brilliant idea every year, and the number themes that we can properly portray are oh so many. Not accounting for bands that just choose random colours and string beads and call it "Jewels of the Caribbean" or what ever name they think fits and in their eyes they can see a river jus cause the costume is blue...
