St.Lucian Joins M.A.C Cosmetics Paris Flagship Store

'Paris Je T'Aime': Last summer, an afternoon stroll down the Champs-Élysées, one of the most famous streets in Paris (France) with its cinemas, cafés, luxury specialty shops, were us 3, my daughter (five then), Sue and I. In no hurry, we were entertained by living statues, the artists who dotted the street posing like mannequins. Window-shopped, until we got stuck in ZARA. Inspired by ZARA pieces, voicing our more budget-friendly would-be redesigns, until we were out onto the street and strolling along again, then we stopped outside a Sephora store.

Two days ago, I got a message "Ny, you will not believe how life is. Do you remember last year we were on the Champ Élysées outside the Sephora store and I asked you if you wanted to go in? In that spot you asked me, "What do I think about M.A.C Cosmetics?"

Reading Sue's message, thinking and responding in typing, "Yes, of course, I do." Also flashing back to one late Parisian lunch when Sue mentioned her desire to work for M.A.C Cosmetics and not getting the job because she was not fluent in French.

In this summer's message, Sue continued to give me details, "Right next door to Sephora, the same place you asked me that M.A.C question is the location of a new M.A.C flagship store. Well sure enough I wanted to work with M.A.C Cosmetics, so a year later, when I came back from vacation, I tried again."

Mindful of the brand’s founding principle - All Ages, All Races, All Sexes - forty make-up artists with diverse language skills, life experiences and backgrounds will work at the new M.A.C Cosmetics Champs-Élysées in Paris store of which I am happy to report includes Sue from the little Caribbean island of Saint Lucia.

MAC Cosmetics opened its third global flagship store, in Paris, on the famous Champs-Élysées. The Paris store will cover 362sq m, over two floors. Paris is internationally synonymous with style and creativity, drawing a multicultural audience impressionable to the city’s fashion capital heritage.

Congrats Sue. I know you will fit right in! Perfection.
