
The 74-look collection mixed rock 'n' roll with seventies swing and high glamour. The clothes were feathered, plasticized, and also synchronized. Black and white made a cameo as well as creamy neutrals and pretty pink.
The slickest accessory though was a parade of actual gun casings, painted silver, black, and gold. Lagerfeld was inspired by an image of a gun he saw somewhere, and he gave the tear to shoe designer Laurence Dacade, who employed plexi to make them functional. Voila! The "Miami Vice" shoe is born. They will be available in stores next month.

As the show's finale, members of the U.S. Olympic synchronized swim team, wearing Chanel swimsuits and bathing caps, plunged into the pool, forming the double-C logo. Lagerfeld took a brief bow and was followed off the runway by the models.
