St.Lucia's Aschadan

Since spending a month in St.Lucia, I am certain more than ever, that St.Lucian artistes need alot more exposure. Thanks to VJ CJ's show Da Vibe on Choice TV (Channel 39), I saw the video below, "Legacies."

Aschadan is a reggae/dancehall artiste from Vieux Fort, St.Lucia. "Aschadan" pronounced "Asch-a-dan", has performed at numerous venues across the island, including opening for renowned Jamaican reggae artiste I-Wayne.

Aschadan grew up listening to artistes such as Super Cat, Shabba Ranks and Cutty Ranks, which some say has resulted in his style reflecting a blend of those three artistes combined with St. Lucian originality. Yet, he sounds very much like Sean Paul (to me).
